Introduction
Hematology deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of blood and bone marrow as well as of the immunologic, haemostatic (blood clotting) and vascular systems. Because of the nature of blood, the science of hematology profoundly affects the understanding of many diseases.
The Department of Haematology, is an integral part of the basic medical sciences division at the University of Health Sciences, with a strong interdisciplinary approach, focuses on developing and delivering quality postgraduate programs. The Department provides an excellent environment for postgraduate studies, attempts to integrate molecular, and cellular approaches to Hematological studies. The Department offers MPhil programme leading to PhD degree.
