Objectives	Development of a complete intra-city interactive vigorous Wireless & secure Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions in order to provide connectivity between different sites within Lahore City so that to allow interactive research, information sharing facilities between these institutes. To setup online regional information offices in all the affiliated medical college/institutions. Provision of real time lectures by delivering real time lectures to students from local, remote and International locations. It also allows Information sharing between different campuses in a timely & cost effective way. Automation of Examination & Registration system on modernized basis by implementing a complete computerized automated scanning system with customized developed software for the Examination & Registration Departments. To ensure security of lab equipment and attendance of the staff, registration of students through finger print scanners, bio access control units and electronic locks Development of UHS information system after developing a complete hardware and software solution to meet the growing demands of the Medical & Health sectors. Provisions of Computer training facilities for UHS faculty, students & staff. Provision of Internal Automation in the University of Health Sciences, Lahore to optimize operation time. To setup technical support cell at the IT Dept. to attend the Computer and Network related complaints both (hardware & software)

Objectives	To strengthen and modernize the regional centres of UHS at the affiliated/constituent colleges/institutions To establish computer research labs at UHSs constituent/affiliated medical colleges/institutions To allow interactive research, information and resource sharing facilities between the UHSs affiliated medical colleges / institutions Provision of computer training facilities for the faculty, students and staff of the affiliated medical and dental colleges Provision of real time lectures by delivering real time lectures to students from local, remote and International locations at the same time also Information sharing between different campuses in a timely & cost effective way To ensure security of Lab equipment with the help of IP cameras, iron bars and collapsible doors To setup mobile technical support cell at the UHS IT Dept. to attend the computer and network related complaints of the regional computer research labs To setup a state of the art computer research lab which includes; latest computers, printers, scanners, and UPS Under the present project twelve (12) computer resource labs will be established at affiliated medical and dental colleges equipped with latest 2030 P-IV computers, 01 heavy duty network laser printer, 01 heavy duty scanner, light and heavy duty UPS, along with the necessary furniture required for the above mentioned hardware To provide online access to medical graduates so that they can benefit from the technological advancements in the field of medical education With the help of internet and digital library access program of HEC Faculty, students and staff of these affiliated /constituent colleges /institutions will also get benefit from these resources
